In this video unit we will work with different types of system models. First you will learn how to reproduce the solution to a two-compartment model (Figure 2.6 of your textbook). We will solve this system of ODEs using two different methods in Maple. You will then learn what a lumping approximation is and how this can be applied to develop models where the heat transfer resistance in a object is small relative to the surroundings.
